      its been a hassle

As someone who sells his work, this chisel caught my attention, to help spped things up. Its hard to get your time out of carving, especially in this economy. Anyways, Its not an inexpensive tool, especially when you buy all the chisels. Right out of the box in the first five minutes the screws were loose. Frustrated because I had to take the entire thing apart to get to the screws I find out they are already stripped. these are the screws for the grinder. They have nothing to do with the chisel attachment. grease from the grinder was leaking on my work. I repair furniture so I was able to fix the stripped threads, and get the screws to hold. Problem solved! Tool worked great for a few hours, and the screws loosened them selves again. In the first three days of use I was inside this tool fixing it more than I was carving with it. Finally I used lock tite a product that prevents screws for loosening. Its been working, but I dont dare use the tool like I want to. the problem with using lock tite is going to be if I ever need to get inside the tool again. The back side of the chisels wear fast too. I have to file the ends frequently to get the burrs off so I can get the chisel back in the tool. when its tight it works great! But keeping it tight is hard to do. I guess Australia has their tools built in china too. Im pretty dissapointed with this chisel. Its not going to last long, and I wont be replacing it.

      A little disappointed.......

I didn't realize the chisel would be quite so heavy. You definately MUST have it on a lower bench or table to work with it. Your arms are at such a raised angle if you don't. You will tire easily and fast!

      Good Tool

A great tool , but doesn't stand up to heavy work , has design flaws at the connection point where 4 screws attach in the center ( see attached photos ) 2 of which there's no access and can't be tightened , they all come loose and eventually the galvinized section cracks , this has happen twice . I love the tool , but I'm now on my third power chisel
