Learn how to use a hand plane like a pro. In this class we will use several types of planes in their various applications. Learn the techniques to make a perfectly square board, rabbet a groove, clean a shoulder, and true up a tenon. Tool List: A Sharpened And Tuned-up Bench Plane. Pre-Requisites: Sharpening Chisels And Planes Recommended. Tuition Notes: No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class. Reschedules only.

Band Saw Box Basics

Demonstration and discuss the techniques used to safely operate a bandsaw. We will cover tune-up setup of the bandsaw for accurate cuts. This class is a great help to someone just starting out or anyone who wants to better his/her skills using this versatile tool. Each student will make a small box using the band saw. Tool List: Safety glasses with side shields, dust mask, and hearing protection are mandatory. Shop apron, notebook and pencil are recommended. Each student will get hands on time with tools and should feel confident to start woodworking at home.
