Woodshop 101 at Night

Looking to get started in woodworking but not sure where to begin? This is the class for you! Louis will introduce you to the most common tools in the shop and assure you understand how to operate each of them safely. You will also learn the essentials about wood grain and movement as you move through the milling process. Students will be paired up during the class, and will leave with a cutting/serving board that will be a joy to show off. This is a hands-on class so come ready to get dirty, have some fun, and create something beautiful!! This is a two session night class. Intro To The Lathe

Friday, May 9, 9 AM - 4:30 PM

Have you thought about turning a beautiful project on the lathe? Now you can, in this class we will turn a bowl. This will introduce you to end grain, as well as side grain and the challenges they bring. Louis will teach you the various parts of the lathe, proper safety, turning techniques, and a ton of useful tips. Finally, you will learn the various styles of finishing for your project. Not only do you learn to turn, but you take your project home with you! No Refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of Class date.

Intro To Woodcarving

Saturday, May 10, 10 AM - 2 PM

We have a great class for anyone interested in Woodcarving. Students will learn how to carve with basic techniques, how to sharpen your tools and how to select that perfect piece of wood. Using only a knife, students will carve a 3D Basswood project. This is an excellent beginner class for adults and children who are considering Woodcarving as a new and fun hobby.
