Using a router, templates, and a drill press, this unique method provides an easy way to make divided bowls or trays by using various woods or a combination of woods to fashion an interesting project. Join in on this hands-on class where you will create and take home your own completed bowl.
Created to be a fun class, spoon carving can bring out your inspiration, creativity, and increase your wood working skills. The methods could involve wood selection, designing, hand carving tools, power carving, forming, smoothing, wood burning, and finishing.
Sharp lathe tools are essential for good results on the lathe. The class covers the basics of grinders, grinding wheel selection and setup, various jigs and their applications, and specific techniques for sharpening scrapers, gouges and skews. There maybe a chance to work on your own tools if time permits during the session.
