Sharp lathe tools are essential for good results on the lathe. The class covers the basics of grinders, grinding wheel selection and setup, various jigs and their applications, and specific techniques for sharpening scrapers, gouges and skews. There maybe a chance to work on your own tools if time permits during the session.
This is a great class to advance your skills to bowl turning. The course is designed for the beginner to intermediate turner who wants to get a good foundation in turning bowls. Proper tools, blank selection, chucking methods, and form will be covered. Students will leave with their own finished bowl.
This seminar is devoted to machine cutting dovetails on the Porter Cable 4212 Jig. Learn all the ins and outs of this wonderful jig. Bit selection and proper techniques will be demonstrated. You will learn to set up and produce 4 different kinds of dovetails.

It will be a pickers paradise of backlot bargains with tools that have been used but not abused. Spaces are free and available on first come, first serve basis. The parking lot will open at 9:00 for set up. This event is for WOODWORKING TOOLS AND MACHINERY ONLY. No raw materials such as lumber or finishes will be permitted.
