In this class students will learn how to make a mandolin using a solo kit. students will walk away with a playable mandolin. the finishing will have to be done after the class personally at home. Join Passang Bhote for a fun filled instrument making class and if you have any questions about instrument making come in and talk to him!
In this class, expert knifemaker, Mark Stone, will guide you, step by step, through the process of making a knife from a kit and scales that you’ll purchase at the store prior to the class (students receive 10% off for class materials!). You’ll leave the class with a knife you’ve made yourself, and the knowledge to make more in the future. Once you’ve made a knife, you’ll surely want to make more! We have a wide range of knife kits and scales at the store to help you choose so come in early and purchase them for the class.
CLS1226 - In this class you, a partner and instructor Nickolas Knue, will be making a simple cutting board together. We will be taking strips of wood and making them into a roughly 11”x14” cutting board you can show off or give as a gift. The tools used will be a table saw, planer, and drum sander. This class is open to couples of any walk of life and parent child duos! Both people in each "couple" will leave with a board. Children 10 and up are welcome but only children 16 and up will be able to use the table saw due to safety reasons. We look forward to having you in this class here at Woodcraft Columbus!

Time to bring your Woodworking Tools to Woodcraft for Sharpening. Devon Palmer will be here to professionally sharpen your chisels, plane blades and turning tools at a cost of $3 per tool! If it needs some rehab, repair, rust removal and sharpening, the cost will be $5 per tool. He will also provide a live demo while he working to help others learn. Questions are welcome!
