Join Joe as he walks you through the joyful art of figure carving. This skill is a great one to get under your belt so as to start applying it to your other woodworking projects! In this class, Joe will walk you through the process of creating a great looking carving.
Band saws are a very versatile tool, but they need to be tuned and maintained properly for optimal performance. Learn the techniques and skills to adjust your band saw and keep it performing to its potential. The class will cover blade selection, wheel alignment and adjustment, blade guides, table adjustment and other tricks to achieve top performance. You will leave the class with the knowledge to have your band saw performing tasks from sawing your own lumber to perfect circles and veneer reliably and easily.
From cutting and marking in the shop, to hunting and camping, to preparing a simple meal, a good knife is indispensable. Create a custom knife you will be proud to show and use for a lifetime, or give as an impressive gift. You will make a high-quality knife without the metal working tools or expertise required to make the blade. This 8-1/4" overall length blade features a slightly dropped point. The knife is made from 5/32" thick 6A high carbon stainless steel for edge retention. It has a 3-5/8" blade section which is hollow ground and highly polished. Shape, mount and finish your custom handles for a truly one-of-a-kind, high-quality knife.
