If you want to get started with a wood lathe this is the class for you! We'll cover the anatomy of the lathe, choosing material, tool selection and use and finishing. Students will turn a candle holder during this class.

In this 2-part class students will make an end grain cutting board with a basket weave pattern.
Prior lathe experience preferred. Learn the basics of how to get started turning Segmented projects. Jigs and fixtures used to create segments safely will be presented as well as methods for determining the number of segments needed. Students will be shown the process for glue-up and we'll cover the tips and tricks for tuning these fun projects. Students will not be making a project in this class, this is an informational course.
