Worthington Elementary School fifth graders came to Woodcraft on April 29th for Shadow Hour. The fifth graders went to different Woodcraft locations, such as the corporate office, warehouse, and the call center.
Student Hannah Burdette said, “I like that I am learning new things here.”
Hannah shadowed with Woodcraft graphic designer Tara Piggott, who said,”It is fun to show kids your age what we do here.”
Tara showed Hannah how to take a photograph and make a magazine cover for “Worthington Journal.”
Director of Product Development Darin Lawrence remarked,”I think it is a wonderful opportunity for students to see what it’s like to be in a real work environment.”
Each student received a green goodie bag filled with magazines, catalogs, and a few small supplies. Woodcraft also provided personalized, engraved nametags for each 5th grader. The nametags were created at Woodcraft’s warehouse. Before getting back to school, the students got treated with cookies and a drink.
Thank you, Woodcraft, for a wonderful day!
