The sun dawns on a new Woodcraft store in Cincinnati, Ohio. Owner, Mark Miller states, “This is the Woodcraft Store of the future…NOW!” There is something for everyone here at this 20,000 square foot spectacular facility, brimming from wall to wall with Woodcraft products that inexperienced to experienced woodworkers and craft individuals, kids to adults, can all take part in. Mark stated that he “wants this store to appeal, not only to men, but to women and kids as well.” Offering special services such as furniture repair and refurbishing, cut-to-length wood sizing, picture framing, Santa’s Workshop, and many other facets to promote family involvement.
The new store is located in Springdale at 11711 Princeton Pike, just off the I-75/I-275 belt at exit 42A, in the Tri-County Town Center Mall.

The library is complete with a working fireplace where customers may read books, magazines, watch HDTV woodworking videos, and enjoy coffee, donuts and popcorn!

This is the first Woodcraft Store to offer picture framing, as told by the very knowledgeable Picture Frame Specialist, Rebecca Shay who studied guilding and restoration under Jerry Feig at the Field Arts Studio in Detroit Michigan.
A unique display in the store is the “1946 Chevy Truck”, which the store refers to as “The Tab Truck” containing all sale items from the Woodcraft Monthly Tab ads…

Mark is proud of all the efforts from his employees and family to make this store happen. Pictured below is Mark’s Dad, Hob; and Marks’s son Jesse.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts Education. Hob has a BS and Masters in Industrial Arts and a PHD, now retired from Superintendent of the Louisville, Kentucky School system. Hob taught woodworking, metal works, drafting and currently teaches woodturning at the Woodcraft Store every Saturday.
During last months Grand Opening, the City of Springdale attended to help Mark cut the ribbon and present the key to the city:

Pictured on Tommy’s leg is a hand carved facial representation of employee Dusty Hillman, who could not be present personally, but was included with the use of the carving by Norb Hartman. At one time all the Cincinnati employees were given their respective carvings by Norb, who has instructed Woodcraft carving classes.
Other activities at the Grand Opening consisted of turning by the Turner’s Guild, scroll sawing, demo’s by Easy Wood Tools, saw milling, and pen Turning for the Troops:
