In this follow-up course to table-saw 101, we will begin to put the eight basic cuts to work. Demonstration and practice making rabbits, lap joints, dados and tenons. Selection and set-up of dados blades will be discussed. Tool List: Safety glasses with side shields, dust mask, and hearing protection are mandatory. Shop apron, notebook and pencil are recommended. Tuition Notes; No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class. Reschedules only.

Adding to the basic sanding skills learned n Beginning Finishing, you will learn to repair gouges, splits and gaps, to make them disappear. We will also cover use and sharpening of the card and cabinet scrapers, the finisher's secrets wagon against torn grain.

Part 2: Sunday, March 1, 2026, 10 AM - 3 PM

Each participant will construct their own modular base cabinet, based on the 32 mm system. The process will include making the carcass shell, flat panel door and pull-out drawer. Skills will include edge banding, pocket hole joinery, mounting Euro hinges and drawer slides. We will also discuss using face frames, and other ways of embellishing your cabinetry, while working within the 32mm system. You will advance your skills in the table saw, track saw, miter saw, router, measuring & marking as well as pocket hole joinery.
