Cabinet Building

Part 1: Saturday, January 31, 2026, 10 AM - 3 PM

Part 2: Sunday, February 1, 2026, 10 AM - 3 PM

Each participant will construct their own modular base cabinet, based on the 32 mm system. The process will include making the carcass shell, flat panel door and pull-out drawer. Skills will include edge banding, pocket hole joinery, mounting Euro hinges and drawer slides. We will also discuss using face frames, and other ways of embellishing your cabinetry, while working within the 32mm system. You will advance your skills in the table saw, track saw, miter saw, router, measuring & marking as well as pocket hole joinery.

Turn a Small Bowl

Advance your turning skill, by learning to turn wooden bowls. This is a foundation course to turn bowls on any size lathe. Blank selection, form and turning safety will be covered. Students will leave with their own turned bowl.

Interested in starting CNC Machining/Routing? Topics discussed will include but are not limited to : Vectric V-Carve Software, NextWave CNC Shark/Piranha Router, lines versus vectors, CNC Router bits, file set up and output, V-carving (letter engraving), pocket engraving, drilling patterns, creating and editing toolpaths and work set up (material to be machined). There will also be a demonstration of a simple v- carving. Class Format: Primarily informational(Lecture) with a short computer tutorial at the end.
