Learn the basics of using power tools for woodworking. You'll learn about the router, drill press, dovetail jigs, jointer, planer, band saw, and more as you create a tool box/garden tote/candle box.
In this relief carving class, students will create a refined lotus design while developing an understanding of depth, balance, and organic form. The course focuses on clean carving techniques, smooth transitions, tool control, and surface refinement. Students will complete a finished botanical relief suitable for display. Supplies: V-Gouge: 12/6 or 12/8, Single Bevel Chisel: 1/5, Straight Sweep Gouge: 6/16, or 6/18 or 7/16 There is a $20 material fee payable to the instructor.
Craft a layered wood inlay design using contrasting species. Learn to cut, fit, and sand pieces, and explore scroll saw techniques to bring your image to life. $20 Materials Fee Payable to Instructor
