This class is for anyone who is new to or struggles with sharpening their lathe tools. Find all the different grind angles and jigs confusing? This is the perfect class for you. Students are welcome to bring any tools they want to sharpen. If you have a grinder, bring it with you. We'll help you make sure it is set up and tuned properly for the best sharpening results. The class will also cover maintaining your grinder and wheels. Bill's hands-on teaching will give you the practice to get the most out of your sharpening set up.

Methods and techniques will include various options for constructing, joining and attaching face frames to the cabinet carcass. Rick will also cover techniques for building and hanging a door, as well as building and mounting a drawer. Each student will walk away with a lower cabinet complete with a door and drawer. Rob teaches his dovetail offset method and shares his tips and tricks using the tools he designed for making dovetails. The learning goals are that by the end of the workshop, you can layout, cut, and assemble directly from your saw cuts, perfect to near perfect through dovetails.
