Frameless European Cabinetry

This course will equip you with the skills to master frameless, European-style cabinet construction. We will cover the entire process, from design and layout to milling and assembly. You'll learn how to construct cases, drawers with under-mount hardware, and cope-and-stick doors with Euro hinges and drawer fronts. The class will include both hands-on learning and demonstrations. To maximize our time together, some materials will be pre-milled (you won’t build your own cabinet in class). By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in cabinetry, enabling you to confidently design and build your own projects. Note: a $25 materials fee (cash or Venmo) will be collected by the instructor at the start of the class.

This beginner friendly CNC class guides you through designing and cutting a unique side table using Vectric V Carve or Cut2D. You’ll learn the essentials of job setup, importing files, organizing layers, selecting bits, and creating and outputting toolpaths. Once your file is ready, you’ll head to the CNC to run the job and watch your project come to life. You’ll take your table home ready for sanding, painting, or finishing however you like. In this class, you can focus solely on the creative process of bowl turning. We use carbide tools, which are amazingly durable and stay sharp much longer than traditional turning tools. We also explore the range of carbide tools available and how to use them, and we provide basic lathe techniques to help you turn the perfect bowl.
