Flatten wide boards that will not fit on your jointer, use a smoothing plane to skip all that sanding, and perfect the fit by removing just thousandths of an inch when needed. This hands-on class will cover how to tune-up a new or old plane, getting the blade sharp, and how to set-up and use the primary bench planes. These include the block, jack, jointer and smooth plane. Bring your planes, sharpening stones, honing guides and a practice board to class if you have them. If not, you can borrow what you need in class.
