Pizza Date Night - Crushed Stone Inlay Ring

Friday, October 17, 6 PM - 9 PM

Each class purchase is for 2 spots/rings and pizza/drinks. This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn to make your own crushed stone or opal inlay rings, using the lathe to help with the process. Ring sizes are required upon signing up for the class so if the store doesn't have them we can get them ordered for you (if we have to order your size, make sure to allow time to come in)! The instructor will bring several colors of inlay materials to choose from, to make your ring unique! Each student will come away with some familiarity with using a mandrel and bushings on a lathe, as well as some basic jewelry inlay techniques, not to mention their own beautiful ring, and the knowledge to make more!

Acrylic Pen Turning

Saturday, October 18, 12 AM - 5 PM

This is a great introduction to turning acrylic or resin on a lathe, with the end product being a pen to keep that you made yourself from start to finish. Previous turning or woodworking experience is helpful but definitely not required. We cover the basics of safety, the parts of a lathe, lathe tools, and accessories, as well as everything you need to start making acrylic or resin pens, bottle stoppers, Christmas ornaments, and other turned creations! During the five hour class, students in the class will learn how to select and cut pen blanks, drill and mount the blanks on the lathe, turn the pen barrels, wet sand, and assemble a pen. And the skills learned in this class will easily transfer to other spindle turning classes or projects.

Epoxy River Serving Board

Part 1: Sunday, October 19, 1 PM - 5 PM

Part 2: Sunday, October 26, 1 PM - 3 PM

Make an eye-popping serving board with an epoxy poured center. Board will be approximately 15.7"x9.8"x1". Using molds, prepping wood, clamping and mixing for the pour are just a few things you will learn in this class. The second class will involve removing the mold, clean-up, sanding and finishing. Materials included in tuition.
