Decorating Bowls Through Power Carving

Take your turned bowls to the next level by adding beautiful carved textures and decorative embellishments with power carving! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to use a Dremel rotary tool paired with Kutzall carbide burrs to create eye-catching patterns, flowing textures, and artistic details that transform an ordinary bowl into a one-of-a-kind work of art. The class will cover proper tool selection, safe power carving techniques, burr control, layout ideas, and design principles to help you confidently add decorative elements to your woodworking projects. You'll also learn how different carving patterns can enhance the natural beauty of the wood and add depth and visual interest. A pre-turned wooden bowl will be provided for each student to decorate during class. If you've already turned a bowl of your own, you're encouraged to bring it along and personalize it with the techniques you'll learn. Turning a Decorative Wooden Snowman on the Lathe

This fun project is a great way to learn the fundamentals of woodturning while making a decoration you'll enjoy for years to come. You'll learn how to shape multiple spheres, form decorative details, create clean transitions, and achieve a smooth finish. Epoxy River Table (2 Part Class)

Part 1: Sunday, September 13, 2026, 1 PM - 5 PM

Part 2: Sunday, September 20, 2026, 12 PM - 5 PM

This is a 2 part class, All students attend both dates. Tuition includes the 1st & 2nd date. In this class students will be introduced to the process of making an epoxy river table, including mold construction, slab preparation, and epoxy pouring. Several different epoxy options will be discussed, along with dye and dust coloring. In part one, students will build the mold, cut and treat the slab, and pour the river. In part two, students will be instructed on how to prepare their river table for an epoxy top coat using several power tools such as the table saw, jointer, various sanders, and router table.
