Advanced Cutting Board

Part 1: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 5 PM - 9 PM

Part 2: Thursday, August 20, 2026, 5 PM - 9 PM

If you liked making the intro or intermediate cutting boards and want to take it up a notch, then this is the class for you. You will learn how to make an end-grain cutting board in this advanced class, including complex calculations for the pattern, multiple glue ups, and you will create a beautiful 1.75 inch thick end-grain cutting board (approx. 14” x 14”). Students will get practice using the planer, jointer, table saw, router table, and drum sander. Prerequisites: some woodworking experience, introduction or intermediate cutting board class.

Wooden Spoon Making

Thursday, August 20, 2026, 5 PM - 9 PM

Add some beautiful wooden spoons to your kitchen utensils collection. Learn the basics of shape and design, using the spoke shave and carving chisels to create an amazing spoon that you can actually use. Materials included in tuition. No refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of class date.

Beginning Carving

Saturday, August 22, 2026, 9 AM - 12 PM

This fun whale carving project could be your introduction to the woodworking hobby or let you expand your skills in a new and creative way. Carving is a fun hobby that you can do anywhere. In class you will learn tool basics, layout, wood properties and proper technique. Carving tools are available to use in class, but you're welcome to bring your own. Materials included in tuition. No refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of class date.
