NEW CLASS! Solid Body Electric Guitar

In this class, led by experienced local luthier, Gary Flowers (garyflowersguitars.com; garyflowersguitars on Instagram), students will make their very own high end custom electric guitar. Starting with a wood body blank, ready-made neck, and custom components, students will shape the body, assemble the components, apply a finish and set up their guitar. The cost of the class includes a mahogany or swamp ash wood blank which will be shaped into a telecaster style guitar with a Tru Oil finish. Upgrades available include stratocaster style body, pick ups, and finish type. The instructor will contact students to discuss any desired upgrades and costs.

Intro to Woodshop

Part 1: Thursday, March 5, 2026, 3 PM - 7 PM

Part 2: Thursday, March 12, 2026, 3 PM - 7 PM

This class is the perfect introduction to the woodshop! Students will be introduced to the most important tools in a woodshop as they go through milling, shaping, and finishing to create a beautiful cutting board/serving tray to take home. This is a hands-on experience so safety will be the top priority. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and materials are included.

Dovetail Techniques

Saturday, March 7, 2026, 9 AM - 1 PM

In this hands-on technique class, students will learn to cut traditional hand-cut dovetails using a backsaw and chisels. We’ll cover layout strategies, sawing tips, and paring techniques to achieve clean, tight-fitting joints. The focus is on skill-building rather than making a finished product, so students can refine their technique through repetition and feedback. This class is perfect for those looking to deepen their understanding of joinery and improve their precision with hand tools.
