Couples in this class will turn handles for a pie server and an ice cream scoop! The Class will cover selecting and preparing wooden blanks, turning handles, applying a food safe finish, and attaching the hardware. Each person will turn one handle. One registration/tuition covers two people.
This beginner course introduces the fundamentals of carving in the round, with a focus on safe and effective use of carving tools. Participants will learn how to plan a project from concept to execution, including layout and material considerations. The class then focuses on carving a simple figure, giving students hands-on experience to build confidence and foundational skills.
This class will provide students with a basic understanding of a CNC machine as well as Vetric software. Students will learn to design and create CAD/CAM code that can be saved and utilized on their CNC getting the same results each time. Students will make and take home a personalized name plate with added embellishments. Required tools - Laptop with Vetric Software installed before the class (we're happy to offer guidance for downloading and installing Vetric), USB Drive 2.0, no larger than 2GB.
