This class is a great introduction to routers and router templates! Students will use a plunge router and router template to make a pair of interlocking charcuterie boards to take home and show off. This is a hands-on experience so safety will be the top priority. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and materials are included.
This class is a great next step after Intro to Box Making! Students will learn to make a more intricate mitered box with features such as splines, internal dividers, and a drop-in tray. This is a hands-on experience so safety will be the top priority. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and materials are included.
In this class, students will learn how to transfer an image onto the wood, the best grain direction to carve in and techniques to get that smooth cut. Other topics covered will include sharpening, getting the most out of your tools, tool selection, wood types for carving, work bench height and clamping. After working on a practice design, students will have a few designs to choose from for a final carving.
Using your router to create projects gets a little easier with a jig or template. We’ll walk you through the basics how to rout with a template.
