Relax in style after you make this reproduction Morris Chair and Footrest. Morris chairs first became popular in the early 1900's as part of the Stickley/Arts & Crafts movement. Now you can use our plan to build your own. Designed especially for those wishing for an authentic style Morris Chair that can be made in a home workshop.

The chair has wide, bandsawn bow arms and the back adjusts to 3 positions. The footrest plan matches the chair perfectly. The cushion shown is a slip seat with a box edge.

No instruction for upholstering is given with either project. The plans take care of every detail of the wood frames. All joinery is shown in full size for each project.

Joinery is shown in actual size while curved workpieces are all in full size. You can measure and trace straight from the drawing. Includes A bill of materials which doubles as an exact cutting list, a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements. The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is also included and provides many tips explaining the "component theory" of woodworking.
