Endless Uses
Very useful for working with small diameter stock, easy setup and collet changes. I use it frequently with my Rikon. I would recomment getting a draw bar to use with it as it can vibrate loose.

Works great / get one
This chuck works great with pin chuck manderals and shop made jam chucks. It was a little confusing using at first due to the way the collet seats in the chuck. It looks like the head that threads on over the chuck was made wrong and and the chuck collet does not fit correctly but is in fact designed so the collet slips into the screw on collar and sort of locks in to the collet and then you put it into the chuck body. Then once threaded on loose slip your pin chuck or work piece in and continue to tighten. I went to Woodcraft in Spokane after buying this chuck there thinking something was wrong the way the screw on collar was machined so we looked at another one and it was the same. Denny and Marc who work there assisted me and between us found on woodcrafts owners forum that this has been a misunderstood design and the threaded collar was machined to lock the collet loosely in first then insert into the chuck body. Well once I got the answer from Marc and Denny needless to say the chuck works great and I am very happy with it. Thanks Marc and Denny for the great customer service.

"I would buy this product again"
Works great

good purcase
I use this to hold small dowling to prevent crushing the wood fibers.

Good Tool
I use this to hold mandrels for making musical instruments, The ability to hold round bars up to 5/8" with out having to buy a 5C collet chuck and machine a back plate for the wood lathe is a real plus. The tapered end is threaded to allow the use of a draw bar to keep the chuck tight in you headstock in case you are not using this tool in conjunction with your tailstock.

Collet Chuck Set
As demonstrated by Charles Niel. Great addition to a Lathe. But there does not seem to be a drawbar capability. It is essential that the chuck be fastened through the headstock for secure seating in the Lathe.... A chuck spinning out of the headstock can be very dangerous.

OK product but be careful in storing the
The collets are somewhat fragile and subsequently my 1/2" broke. Haven't been able to find a supplier for a replacement.

workes well but has limited use
It Is exactly what I need for my work of turning with dowells and small round turnings.

Nicely Made and Works Well.
Excellent for holding small diameter spindles. I have also used it to hold a small stand with a spigot on the bottom.

Good quality - but missing 7/16....
This is a good quality collet chuck. I use it on my metal lathe, actually. Its unfortunate however that the set does not have a 7/16 collet, and the collets are not a known standard (such as ER or TG), which prevents buying a 7/16 collet.

Works well
Works well, except I was a little disappointed to find that the collet leaves a mark on the piece you're working on. Next time I'll try wrapping some tape around the place where the collet will grab the piece in the hopes of protecting it. I'm glad I bought it, though.

Great Addition for the Wood Lathe
This product really works good for small lathe projects. I like making Wine Stoppers and this is really handy for chucking up the parts.

Turners Collet
This is a good tool for smaller turnings. Product works great. Comes with no instructions that it doesn't really need except that the head appears to be machined wrong, but it is made offset for a reason so be careful when you first try to use it or call for instructions.

Very well made tool.
This tool is great for making repetitive parts. The time saved pays for this tool very quickly.
