Poor quality, poor Woodpecker customer service
The version I just ordered and received from Woodpecker is unusable as a fixture. The bolt they use for the adjustment wedge extends 1/8" below the bottom so the clamp cannot lie flat. Yes, I can cut the bolt or build a block with a hole to accept the protruding bolt, but that is not the point. When you pay this much for an item from a company that touts its quality, you expect quality built into the product. You do not expect to have to make modifications so the product is usable. That kind of quality is what you expect (and get) from Harbor Freight. I contacted Woodpecker about this, and their response was essentially, "we don't care -- just return it". So, poor quality and no support... Not the Woodpecker I (used to) know.

Easy packaging solution
Great product, but insanely difficult to get out of the box. I pass along the following hack for those who want to try it. I gave it four stars because of the packaging - it ought to be easy to get the clamps out of the box without needing any tools. The clamps are held in the box with a series of plastic "screws" - I use that term because I haven't a better one. Those "screws" have a very thin smooth head and some burrs on the shank that hold the clamps and knobs into the box. The cardboard of the packing box is sandwiched between the head of the "screws" and the product. You can't easily get hold of the heads to pry them out of the clamps or the knobs. My hack: Take the box with the clamps still as they were packaged (the face of the box is open - no cellophane or clear plastic over the clamps and knobs), open the jaws of your vise about a quarter of an inch more than the outside diameter of the thin head on one of the "screws", rest the box on top of the vise jaws so the head of the "screw"is unsupported, take a small hammer and a nail set, and pop it out of place with a quick blow. Repeat five more times. No more torn packaging, impolite words, or frazzled nerves.

Nice clamp if you need a "hold" clamp
I found the clamp not to be what I expected. The clamp will hold a joint tight if you first you some other method to draw the joint together. Then the M2 will hold it in place. If you expect the clamp to draw the joint together as I did, you will be disappointed.

Great clamps terrible packaging.
Great clamps, worked great holding boards for shelves, but the packaging imakes it difficult to unpack or return lol. Can be a little cumbersome aligning at first, has a tendency to lift panels when tightening, but I would buy more. Definitely holds in place when using pocket screws.

Great product but sold in a packaging nightmare
Great for assembling small projects. I use 4 to assemble drawer boxes. Like others, I spent a LOT of time trying to remove the components from the package. I finally resorted to using a nail set and hammer. Whoever designed the packaging should do one more and then quit. The printed instructions are not good and tend to make the product more difficult to use. Go to Woodpeckers website and watch the video for the Box Clamp.

Superior Customer Service
A freak thread separation on the main bolt that tightens the clamp caused it to jam in the nut. This happened on a brand new pair that I bought to add the ones I had already used for years. To get it apart I managed to strip out the plastic allowing the bolt head to now turn. The bolt was a simple 5/16 replacement but the little clamp piece was in bad shape. I called WoodPeckers and spoke to a great gentleman. No questions asked shipped me a complete set of replacement parts. Even the handle. WOW!! Try that with your cheap import manufacturer... I remain a very satisfied customer.

Very handy and simple clamp
What a terrifically simple to use clamp. I saw a video for these on YouTube and saw them at the local Woodcraft. Glad I picked them up. Holds at a true 90deg while screwing or letting glue set up.

works well
These work great for holding together shelves for fastening together. Relatively easy to use and figure out. The PACKAGING needs to be reworked - it took me a half hour and tools to get them out of their packaging!

Can't Work Without It
Using these clamps is easy and they help align pieces almost perfectly square. they are easier to use than pipe clamps and eliminate the need for a second set of hands on a project like my most recent-- building four separate bookcases.

Nice Jig but wrong bolts
As description says they are for box building but not large boxes such as cabinets. They help with basic alignment of large project so ok when working by myself.. My complaint is that the bolts that you adjust the moveable portion of the clamp are too long. They stick below the bottom of the clamp (about 1/4") when you tighten for dimension of lumber, so that the jig will not sit level on the table/floor. I live in a small mountain town with one hardware store. No replacement available locally. Went to a larger town about 45 minutes west. No luck. A week later went to a town an hour to the east. Nope. Finally found the correct bolt & pitch a quarter of an inch shorter in Charlotte when visiting my daughter. Even then it took visiting 3 stores (hardware & auto).

Good Clamp; Asinine packaging
The product is cleverly designed and easy to use with material up to 3/4". On the other hand, the packaging is a marvel of marketing over common sense, with plastic attachments that variously must be pried or screwed to release the clamps and knobs for use. The box says "Made in USA," but I suspect the packaging was designed in Transylvania by . . . .
