Niove (Staudtia kamerunensis) is a straight grained, fine textured wood containing color ranging from orangy-yellow to brown with darker veins and clearly demarcated sapwood. Machines, turns, and finishes well. Glue-up may be somewhat difficult because the surface of the wood may be oily, so proper wood preparation is necessary. Niove is excellent for furniture, turning projects, jewelry, and so much more.
