Much shorter than the Wall St. II pen

Seems a little strange that this pencil is so much shorter than the Wall St. II pen. Because of the size difference, they don’t make a very good pen & pencil set.

They look nice but are worthless.

These look nice and it’s a nice kit, but the lead that comes in them is awful. It Is exceptionally weak and continuously breaks. Although they look nice, but I didn’t want to give or sell them with that awful lead, so I purchased high quality, well reviewed 0.5 mm lead from Amazon to replace what came in the kits. I then discovered that it is virtually impossible to reload lead into them. I do microsurgery in my career and I used an expensive loupe while trying to reload these. Still no go. I would suggest saving your time and money and buying something else.

    Nice Pencil; error in description

This pencil kit turned nicely and is a very nice looking pencil. My issue is with the lead. The provided lead is very fragile and faint. When I purchased better quality lead I found that the citation that this pencil uses .7mm lead is incorrect; this pencil uses .5mm lead. Loading the lead down the throat while holding the plunger in is also poor design.

Poor quality lead. No reload instructions

As others have noted, the lead in this pencil is very poor quality. In addition, the instructions provide no information on reloading. I purchased a better quality lead (0.5mm) but could not load it through either the top or bottom opening. Rated it 1 because the pencil is worthless without lead.

    pencil kit

Kit went together well but. When they were being viewed the eraser cover was pulled off and pulled the mechanics parts out. Yes you can put it back together but still falls apart easy.

    Can't Find Replacement Erasers

As much as I liked making a pen & pencil set for a gift I'll only give it two stars because I can't find replacement erasers. Without going into detail I've contacted everyone I can think of, including Woodcraft Customer Service, and no one has these tiny .160" diameter erasers available.

    Looks great in acrylic but

The Pencil looks great but the lead breaks very easy and I could not re-place the lead and found no instructions to help .

    Awesome looking and really simple

This is a GREAT pencil kit. I am not a pro turner, but not quite a beginner. I have about 100 slimlines under my belt and wanted to try something new. I saw that the Wall St II kits are on sale this month, so I bought 10 pens and this pencil. I turned them all that day! I would highly recommend these to anyone. Slimlines look cool, but this looks like a seriously expensive pen/pencil. Beginners should absolutely start with these. Much easier to turn than a slimline and a LOT simpler to assemble. These kits are stunning and a great value.

    Disappointed with new mechanism

We have been making Wall Street II Click Pens for almost a year. The recent change of mechanism has been a step backwards, poorly fitting and the mechanism is poor quality. It was relatively easy with the old mechanism to make a good looking pen, adjusting the position of the refill retracted or extended with the new mechanism is very difficult and the locking mechanism is weak.

    lead size

I think the pencil is great & could be even better if the lead was .07mm. The .05mm is just too breakable.

    Beautiful well made pen kit

I am a beginer at pen turning. I bought 15 of the Wall Street II pen Kits in the month of March, mainly because they were on sale, and I am Glad I did. These are elegant pens, easy to turn, easy to assemble, and everyone i have given one to loves them. The Parker style pen insert is smooth as butter. Writing with one of these lil gems is a pleasure. For basicly [$] ([$] + half a 5/8" X 5" blank and some finishing materials) you get a pen worth $40, and writes like a Million bucks. For a beginer at turning, and these pens were the first thing i ever turned on a lathe, there is no better place to start. The Body is large enough to be forgiving to someone with Zero finesse when it comes to turning, but still small enough to use a 5/8" blank. The second benefit of the body/tube size is you can actually get 2 pens from one blank. Which may not be all thet great to someone who has turned 100 pens, but for me, it was a life saver.I would Strongly recomend this, or any other Wall Street II pen kit, to anyone who is just starting the pen turning hobby or anyone who wants to make a gift that is worth many many times what you paid to make it.
