It wobbles, and comes damaged.
The router does not sit flat, on a flat surface. Will be going back, disappointing as I heard so many great things about the TRA001. It also came damaged in the factory hard case packaging, gouging on the side of the base, dings elsewhere from loose tools and parts flying around.

Was expecting the same quality as the TRA001
As we all know, the triton tra001 is a staple of a workhorse in the woodworking community. With such an iconic, bulletproof model, as the tra002's predecessor, I was expecting that same quality with added features but what I got was a bit of disappointment. I've been using this TRA002 router for several months now despite the negatives encountered as early as the unboxing. At first look, it has a nice blow molded case that seems pretty durable and well constructed with nice metal clasp latches instead of chinsy plastic tabs. The excitement stopped there, upon opening the case all of the accessories were strewn about inside, likely due to their molded locations being so tight that it's nearly impossible to lock them in place as intended. When I removed the router from the case, I noticed a nice gouge in the metal of the router base as well as scratches and a gouge in the plastic base plate(likely from accessories banging around in the case during shipping) I wasn't thrilled that a brand new $400 router had cosmetic damage, however, it was just that.... cosmetic. Some light sanding to the base plate made it usable so it is what it is. Overall use of the router is just clunky, the plunging action is not nearly as smooth as what we are used to with triton routers, the micro adjusters for depth adjustment are extremely loose and while the router is in use the adjust not being used will vibrate itself to a different position... I like the idea of the adjusters, it was a great concept, but poorly executed. My biggest gripe about this router, is that I purchased it solely to live in a router table which is where these routers usually truly shine, however, this one is just a big fail. Adjusting the bit height using the included micro adjustment crank is absolutely impossible, raising the bit is extremely difficult and usually will not turn which ruins the big appeal of this router. Lowering the bit is smooth and almost effortless, it's almost as if the router cannot even lift its own weight to adjust the bit height in the table. If you're thinking about spending your hard earned money on a new router, make sure it's not this one as you'll only end up disappointed and frustrated with the lack of quality that was put into this model
