      Beginners Bench

I like the bench. I really think it depends on how much you use your woodworking bench. I mainly use power tools and the bench gives me a stable place put the final corrections on parts prior to finishing. Also worked well for dis-assembly and sanding flat stock during a refinishing project. I was surprised the bench came unfinished allowing one to choose oil, varnish, poly, etc. as their work requires. The assembly of the bench it self was straight forward and easy to complete took me about 30 mins. A few negatives is this bench maybe weighs 100 lbs. so if you demand a big heavy bench this ain't it. The other thing is that the first time I dropped a board on it I put a nice dent in the work surface. Now a bench is made to be used but it was clear to me it is a light duty bench. I am not disappointed in the bench at all it was better than what I was expecting and included the front and tail vise equipment as well as 4 plastic bench dogs. I would recommend it for medium level wood working but not for someone who would be using lots of hand tools or as the anchor of their shop.
