Between 1930 and 1950 Wetterlings made a great deal of small handheld axes for scouts. This small axe is produced after a model of a classic American scout axe. The head is painted forest green and the end of the handle is lacquered in red – as was the original. The Scout Axe is delivered with an embroided, textile, axe-shaped patch and a 10-page leaflet providing axe knowledge.. Hand forged from Swedish Carbon specially alloyed steel. Edge hardness 57 HRC. Handles from American Hickory. Delivered with vegetable tanned, locally produced, leather sheath. Made in Sweden. 20 years warranty. Approximately 1lb 8oz total weight, 15” overall length with a 2-3/4" face.
