I use these Sanding Stars to "softly" round over the edges of wood. They also are perfect for getting into small crevices and curves of cutouts made on a bandsaw. They can be very soft on intricate details when using a higher grit (150 or above), or use a lower grit (80) on very hard woods. They save hours over any other sanding method (other than sandblasting - but that's such a mess). These are neat and clean. These cost more than the Klingspor sanding stars, but they also last almost twice as long. I would like to see a longer shaft to reach into tight areas.
