Do Not Buy!!
Bought this at my local Woodcraft store as I lost the original that came with the mandrel. Right out of the bag you can see that the threading is not drilled straight. Screwed it on the mandrel and the whole nut was canted. I didn't think about how much this defect would ruin a good number of pens. The first thing I noticed was that when the chisel touched the blank, the blank would stop turning. To counter this, I would have to tighten the nut with some pliers to make sure everything was snug. By overtightening the nut to stop the blanks from becoming stuck on the chisel, a lot of blanks had cracked from the excess pressure. The overtightening also lead to a lot of concave pen bodies after final sanding and removal from the mandrel. Definitely not recommended, just buy a whole new mandrel with new nut included.
