The biggest obstacle to making a pepper mill of any size is the drilling of the stepped through whole. We’ve solved that problem by pre-drilling our most popular pepper mill blanks. To make it even easier, we've created a 2pc Jamb Chuck set #158353 that will assist putting these pre-drilled pieces on the lathe!

Cherry (Prunus serotina) features heartwood in reddish-brown to deep red, with brown flecks, and will naturally darken with age. Cherry is known as being one of the best all-around woods for workability. It is stable, straight-grained, and machines well. Cherry is commonly used in furniture construction and turned items. It has a decent strength-to-weight ratio, though it's not as hard as some other denser domestic hardwoods. Larger blocks are sawn to +/- 1/4" of size listed, smaller blocks +/- 1/8". Spindle stock (1-1/2" - 2") dimensions are +/- 1/8". Grain runs with the longest dimension. USA.
