Tame the Elusive Perfect Miter With Woodpeckers New Precision Marking & Setup Gauge – Dual Miter Scribing Gauge

Miter Joints– So Simple Yet So Hard To Do. Even experienced woodworkers struggle to make perfect miters every time. Missing the mark on the first, second or third try wastes time and valuable stock. Woodpeckers new Dual Miter Scribing Gauge is a simple yet effective tool to accurately mark miter cuts and set up the table or miter saw with spot on precision.

Use The Gauge To Mark Miters. Once you’ve marked your stock for length of cut, you can confidently mark the miter cut line using either a pencil or scribe tool. Next mark the cut line for the other end by simply flipping the gauge from one side to the other. The gauge’s robust, solid aluminum handle, 7½" long x 1" wide x 5/16" thick, provides ample reference surface to index against the edge of the stock. The precision, laser-cut stainless steel triangle body will stand up to a lifetime of use including use of a sharp scribe tool.

To assist in layout work, the gauge has an Imperial 1/16" center scale on the long edge (metric versions are also available). Scales start at 0" in the center of the long edge for use in right and left handed marking. Scales are on both sides of the blade. A diamond cut out in the blade aligns perfectly with the 0" mark on the engraved scale.

The Perfect Machine Setup Tool. Setting your table saw or miter saw to make a perfect 45° cut is usually a frustrating, trial-and-error exercise. Woodpecker’s new miter gauge eliminates all the guesswork. You can use the tool to set blade angle cuts, slot miter gauges and even blade tilt settings on compound miter saws. When necessary, the handle easily detaches so the blade can be used perfectly flat.

Ordering Options—Large, Small or Both! Woodpeckers offers the Dual Miter Scribing Gauge in two sizes. The large model has a 16" long edge with 8" long miter edges. It can handle stock up to 5¾" wide. The small size has 12" and 5" edges respectively and 3½" stock width capacity. Handle sizes are the same for both models. Choose the Deluxe Kit to get both sizes.

What are our OneTIME Tools? They’re the tools that our partners at Woodpeckers plan to run once. Often these are tools we ourselves would like but can’t put in full production. The process is simple; they build a couple, take some pictures and open a 10-20 day window for others to jump on the production run. Once they know how many to make, they get them done and move on to something else.

By buying a OneTIME Tool, you will own a limited run precisely machined tool that will make you the envy of all your woodworking friends, and you have a tool that will be used for generations. These tools are proudly made in the USA.
