Excellent Saw!
I bought both this and the ripping saw version. They arrived sharp and have not let me down yet. Excellent quality.

High quality saw
I've owned this saw for about 4 months now. I'm transitioning away from power tools and working almost exclusively in hand tools now and this was my first purchase of a quality hand saw. I bought this saw because I was too cheap to buy both a rip and crosscut saw at once so I bought this one thinking the lower TPI count would make it a bit more versatile, at least until I'm ready to pony up the cash for a rip saw. As a crosscut saw it performs beautifully. It's a beautiful saw, of impressive quality. The blade and handle are both of very high quality. I have not yet found any manufacturing flaws or concerns. I'm very happy with it and have no regrets. With my original rationale for purchasing it, it "works" as a rip saw but it's not efficient, as expected, and particularly when ripping 8/4 hardwood it's a challenge. Overall I love this saw, and am looking at adding the Lynx rip saw to my tool arsenal once I can either convince my wife that I need it or buy it without her noticing :)

Old American Proverb!
We all know the old American saying, "You get what you pay for." This Lynx hand saw couldn't say it any better. I put my late father's old saws away after I purchased this saw from Woodcraft. OMG! It cuts through 3/4 inch plywood like butter. You won't need a circular saw when you have one of these. What the heck! If you've got the money, buy two.

Danged fine saw!
This is one good saw! I own almost no power tools, being satisfied to make what I do with hand tools only. I own several hand saws, including two Disstons. These Lynx saws are almost as good as the Disstons of old, except the polish on the Lynx's blade isn't as high as the Disston. Other than that, they're equals. But that's okay- I'm more than happy with the walnut handles, excellent ergonomics, fine attention to detail, bullet-straight razor sharp blades and fine balance of the Lynx. It quickly chews through all the wood I can throw at it, and tracks very well. One caveat: Before you use this saw, you really should remove the protective coating on the blade, and then give it a good coat of something to protect it- I used wax. The factory coating is some sort of varnish, and will bind your work. Bottom line: I wish Woodcraft carried the whole line of Lynx saws! I can think of 3 good reasons to own them all.
