The Jet® Bed Extension is a valuable accessory designed for use with the Jet JWL-1440VS, 1640EVS, 1840EVS, and 1840DVR Lathes. The extension increases the length of the lathe bed, allowing users to work on larger and longer projects. The extension blends seamlessly with the existing lathe bed, ensuring a smooth and accurate turning experience. Mount the 20" bed extension on the end of the bed to allow 60" between centers or down on the leg to add 18" to the diameter of the workpiece. The included tool rest post is perfect for using the extension in the lower position. With its durable construction and easy installation, the extension provides added flexibility and versatility to the lathe, allowing users to work on a broader range of projects easily.
