Ryoba saws are used by Japanese craftsmen to cut large joints found in architecture, furniture construction and boat building. The saws feature two working edges: the crosscut edge has 9 TPI and the rip 4-1/2 TPI. They are made of the highest quality tempered steel with a long tang securely held in a wooden handle. The teeth cut on the pull stroke. This large Ryoba saw has a 300mm (11-3/4") cutting edge and 6-9 TPI. Overall length is 725mm (28-1/2"), and the blade tapers from 99mm (3-7/8") to 125mm (4-15/16"). Cloth case included.

Ichi ban tool
I've used this saw to do everything from cutting cabinet parts to clearing brush. It's light, sharp, fast cutting, and easy to control. It took a little getting used to, learning to cut on the pull stroke, but once past that, it's all downhill. Another really good tool.
