Cadillac of Random Orbit Sanders
Been using my Porter Cable random orbit sander attached to a ShopVac since 1992. My wife bought this Festool ETS125EQ and CT26 dust collection system for our anniversary this year and the performance difference is drastic. The ETS125EQ is the cadillac of random orbit sanders as far as I'm concerned. Pros: Very well balanced, feels solid in your hand, almost zero hand fatigue, a wide selection of sandpapers, convienent storage, and automatic braking upon shut down. Cons: Not a single one. Although expensive, I highly recommend this sander and any of the Festool dust collection systems to anyone and I have no reservations in giving it five starts.

Great finish sander
As expected, Festool delivers with the ETS 125EQ. This is a precise sander that creates a very smooth finish. I have owned P-C and Bosch orbital sanders and both of them had far more vibration. In addition, those sanders would spin the disk when lifted from the surface, which could cause gouging when the sander was set back down. The Festool has none of those problems. Dust collection works flawlessly. It is worth noting, however, that this sander does not remove material nearly as quickly as the ETS 150. The short stroke is good for finish sanding, but not much else. If you need more versatility, look at the RO sanders which have an agressive mode.

Buy This Sander
I bought this sander as a package with a HEPA dust collector. Sanding with this is almost effortless because the dust collector sucks the sander down to flat surfaces. The variable speed allows you to adjust it for what you're working on. I used to hate sanding, but now it's not so bad. This sander works quickly and produces superior results to any other sander I've used. The sand paper lasts much longer because it doesn't clog (when used with dust collection).

my favorite sander ever
Very well balanced with very little vibration unlike the dewalt or portercable counterparts. It is expensive but it has out lasted the competition 3-1 so far and still going. User fatigue is way less than competition which is nice if you spend hours sanding in a production shop. The wide array of sanding media is very good. Have sanded special projects up to 6000 grit with the micro mesh yes 6000 and has a sheen like it has been hand rubbed with tung oil. Very impressive sander but again the price is high. In my opinion it is worth it. I will not use another random orbit sander. Festool has designed a great product that performs like no other sander I have used. Dust collection with their very expensive vacs is amazing and so is the crazy high price they want but the disposable bag filter is almost as good and is way better than the competition. You will not be disappointed with this sander.
