Red Cumaru (Dipteryx odorata) is also known as Brazilian Teak. It is reddish to deep brown with sapwood that is very similar to the heartwood. The species has an irregular, slightly interlocked grain and is coarse and wavy in texture. Due to its density and interlocked grain Cumaru can be difficult to work and may have a moderate blunting effect on tool cutters. Common uses include flooring, cabinetry, furniture, bearings, handles and other turned objects.

- Larger blocks are sawn to +/- 1/4" of the listed size.
- Smaller blocks are sawn to +/- 1/8" of the listed size.
- Spindle stock, or stock that is 1-1/2" - 2" wide is sawn to +/-1/8" of the listed size.
