      Blades not identical

The one item of note is that I bought 2 blades at the same time but they were slightly different sizes. I made blanks and sheaths using the first blade as a template only to discover that the second blade (and tang) was slightly taller and thicker. Not too much trouble for the scales since I simple had to enlarge the cutout a little. However, I had already roughed out the shape of the sheath and there wasn't enough material left to make the cutout taller. Aside from that one issue, I like the blades for gifts. Next time, however, I'll use each blade individually as a template.

      Excellent Value

I have made four of these ceramic knives by ordering the blanks and making custom handles for them. An easy project that makes a great gift.

      Superb blade! Great knife kit

Another great knife kit from Woodcraft. Using native black cherry from our farm I created a one-of-a-kind custom piece of kitchen cutlery. This is an excellent kitchen tool.

      Very good knife blade

Making a handle was not difficult. The blade is scary sharp and will probably stay that way. We are taking special care not to chip the fine edge by banging it sideways because re-sharpening might be very difficult. It is wonderful to use and great for things like slicing tomatoes.
