Bubinga (Guibourtia spp.), an African species also known as African rosewood, is a beautiful dense hardwood with a rose-colored background and darker purple striping. Turns and machines well with sharp tools. Due to bubinga's high density and natural oils, it takes a high polish. Common uses for bubinga include veneer, inlays, fine furniture, cabinetry, turnings, and other specialty items. Since bubinga trees can grow so large, natural-edge slabs of the wood have also been used in tabletops and other specialized projects. Micro-thin stock is cut to size from quality, kiln-dried stock, 100 percent clear and sanded on both sides.Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible. Please measure each piece carefully before starting any project.Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species.Thin Stock. The thin stock is cut to size from quality, kiln-dried stock. Dimensions are +/- 1/8" of size listed.Carving and Turning Blocks. Blocks are sawn to +/- ¼" of size listed.Plywood. Sizes are nominal. Still not disappointed

I have bought 1/4"x3"x24" lumber from Woodcraft for many years, and have never been disappointed with the quality. They have never arrived showing any degree of warpage, and the grain figure is always what I expect for the species involved.
