In this day and age of electronic games, there are still a few games left to play without the aid of technology, but with the use of good old fashioned brain power. Similar to Chess or Checkers/Draughts, “GO” is an attack-capture board strategy game played on a 19″ x 19″ wood grid for two players. This size board is typically used for tournament play. The game originated in China about 2500 years ago using a 17″ x 17″ grid board, but changed as it became more prevalent in Japan and Korea. Beginners usually start with a 9″ x 9″ or 13″ x 13″ board.
If the SS Nieuw Amsterdam teak chairs could talk, they would tell you quite a Veteran story. This narration is told to us by Steve Taylor, son of First Army Lieutenant Phillip K. Taylor who served in the 5th Army Air Corps, Pacific theater. Born in 1916, Phillip was a native of Macy, (North Central) Indiana. Phillip was a man that believed in working with his hands and passed that work ethic onto his son, Steve. Those moral principles paid off in the service for Phillip.
Old furniture, stereos, carpet and many more household items may hold the key to a project you could enter in the Reclaimed Contest on Instructables.com. Woodcraft is sponsoring the competition that opened Oct. 2 and will continue through Nov. 27.
Kept in (N.E.) garage. No rust, durable. Great length to have around.
Very Solid Clamp
Exemplary clamp in many ways. Its only "flaw"--and it's a minor one--is the way the handle's been designed. In tight quarters, lying against a bench or the work piece, it can be hard to turn. My other clamps have the same shortcoming so I'm only guessing there's a better alternative out there. Somewhere.
Great clamp, inexpensive and holds securly.
30" Bessey clamp holds well
The clamp holds well with no slipping. It's easily adjustible and did the job admirably.
Couldn't be more satisfied.
I use the product building woodworking projects like outdoor furniture, bookshelves, cabinets and various workshop fixtures.
These clamps are great, especially when they are on sale. Got one clamp that would not hold for some reason. After a quick phone call to customer service, Woodcraft sent a new one and even sent return postage to mail the defective clamp back! Wow, good service!!
