Beautiful depth like you have never seen
I bought this material after watching a presentation on youtube. I tried it on a bland species of white oak that really had no character to it at all and the client wanted a darker finish on the frame for a glass top. I applied the stain/dye with a 10% dilution and was startled by the result. This gorgeous grain pops out and I call my partner over to see the results. If we had used a gell stain we would have never gotten the clarity of the grain. We sanded down the first coat and reapplied 4 more successive coats, sanding with 400 grit between coats. I have never seen color like this in finishing oak. I'm going to try it on cherry and sycamore. For the future I would only use behlen dyes in place of gel stains or oil based stains. It dries in 10 miinutes so its not time consuming to do multiple layers. I finished the piece in fast dry poly semi gloss with a hand rubbed finish of Behlen wool lube and 0000 steel wool and hand finishing paste wax......WOW
