This RH Preyda Arkansas Waterstone is 3000 grit, sort of an intermediate grit – not fine nor really coarse. It is a good choice for refining the edge on a working knives. Not “sushi sharp,” it is certainly sharp enough for general kitchen duty. Consider it as an intermediate step to the finer polishing stones. Stone measures 8" x 3" x 1" and, like traditional waterstones, requires soaking prior to use. Stone comes in a durable base that helps to minimize slipping in use.
Introducing RH Preyda Arkansas Waterstones. Traditionally Novaculite or Arkansas Stones are cut from the earth, and the material is graded for hardness/density and cut into usable shapes. What is unusable is returned to the earth – still unusable except as fill. RH Preyda had a different vision: take the UNUSABLE and crush it, grade it, mix it up into mud, form bricks, and fire it to make Arkansas Waterstones.

Stones come in a range of grits from 400 to 8000 grit (a 10,000 grit is promised soon).
