Amarela (Vatairea paraensis) is bright yellow when freshly sawn, turning yellow-brown to dark brown to even a reddish-brown. Grain is straight or interlocked with a coarse texture. Amarela machines well, is a pleasure to turn, glues problem free, and finishes beautifully. Common uses include furniture, flooring, cabinet work, and veneer.

Carving and Turning Blocks. Blocks are sawn to +/- 1/4" of size listed.
