    Fine bit but too much money

    I got the cuts done but there was a lot of burning. Tips were dulled out after a few cuts in cedar

    Outstanding Plug Cutters !!!

    I have a set of the Veritas plug cutters, but they bogged down and burned in hard maple. I purchased this set - what a night and day difference !!! They cut the plugs in the maple like a hot knife through butter. No burning, no bogging down. These are, by far, the best plug cutters I have ever used.

    They worked very well in maple.

    Used a drill press and cut plugs from 1" maple. Worked great!

    5 piece Plug and tenon cutters are great

    I've bought 4 different types of plug makers and this is the best I've used so far and the only one so fat that actually makes an accurate plug.

    Good but not what I expected

    I needed longer plugs than typical plug cutters produce and this gave me that. However, being primarily a tenon cutter it uses a lot of stock to just cut a plug. If you need longer plugs there are better bits out there to do the job. Could be a bit unwieldy to cut a large tenon with a hand held drill and you need a hefty drill press or a radial arm drill press to cut a lot of tneons with these bits.

    Very Satisfied

    Went through two other set from other vendor and had to return them because they were not accurate enough for my needs. Very pleased with this set. Will not waste my time in the future and just come straight here.

    Haven't used the tools yet.

    I purchased the cutters ahead of a project that I have planned for the near future and as such have not yet used them. They appear to be of good quality and are nicely packaged in a tailored container. I intend to use them to make the tennons for drawer knobs and anything else that requires a tennon.
