Learn the basics with a variable temperature wood burning unit: preparing wood, design layout, shading and finishing. This is the class for everyone interested in learning to create or embellish their works through the art of pyrography. You will complete a small design in class.
This will be a hands-on project to create your own small keepsake box using colorful or exotic woods. A class to inspire you in craftsmanship, artistry, and creativity. Wood preparation, joinery, gluing, hinges and hardware, and finishing will all be covered. All materials are included.
This introduction class will highlight the relief method of hand carving. Topics will be on over-all techniques, pattern transfer, types of knives, cutting methods, holding practices, depth attention as well as sharpening and safety. You will work on a small hands-on project during the class.
