Join us for a weekend devoted to the artistry of fine woodworking, where you will craft an original piece of furniture designed and built to stand the test of time. Conceived as a complement to our popular Mid-Century End Table class, this table is generously proportioned at 42”W x 18”D x 16”H. The trapezoidal tabletop features dual storage compartments with slotted, sliding doors, on a robust foundation anchored by 1 ¾” tapered legs and supported with four lateral half-lap joints. These components are seamlessly integrated with the tabletop with fourteen steel threaded inserts and ¼”-20 machine screws, ensuring structural integrity and allowing for natural wood movement. To foster an environment of unhurried craftsmanship and personalized attention to detail, each session is limited to a maximum of three students. Furthermore, participants can select from four available wood combinations, each specifically chosen to complement the species utilized in our Mid-Century Modern End Table class while accommodating a range of budgets. Each student receives a fully illustrated build plan. 1) European beech cabinet with American black walnut accents (shown). $850 2) European beech cabinet with Sapale (African mahogany) accents. $695 3) 100% American black walnut with curly maple door handles. $1,195 4) 100% Sapale (African mahogany) with curly maple door handles. $895
