In this highly focused class Hunter Menken will walk you through how he sharpens his tools. His primary focus will be chisels and plane blades, but if time allows he'll also talk about sharpening various other tools in and out of the shop!
Join Tom for a crash course in pen making! The methods of pen turning and finishing will be demonstrated, along with hands-on experience by each student. The goal will be for everyone to turn and finish their own pen! Note: $15 material fee payable to instructor at course start. *Some turning experience desirable*

Learn how to set up, change blades, and maintain a bandsaw, all while creating a kitchen utensil of your choice with instructor Katie Freeman. Students will choose from four different templates of kitchen utensils to make. The project will be completed during the class, and the students will get a small amount of finish to take home with them to maintain their utensils for the future. Tools that will be used during the class: Bandsaw, drill press, and sander. $10 material fee payable to instructor at course start.

Cutting dovetails by hand is a foundational skill sought by fine woodworkers the world over. In this joinery intensive Hunter Menken will take you through his tips on cutting a successful joint by hand. Note: A $10 materials fee (cash or check) will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Date Night is designed to give couples a chance to spend an evening together making a fun project and lasting memories! Each couple will join Dawn and Tony Evans for two evenings where you will make a set of coasters together (4 per couple). $10 material fee payable to instructor at course start.

I recommend getting a hang of through dovetails first or at the very least having some familiarity with the dovetail joint. This class will focus on sawing, sharpening, chiseling techniques, and clean-up, so that you can walk away and cut this joint at home! Note: $10 material fee payable to instructor.
