Cutting half-blind dovetails by hand is an essential skill for the hand tool focused woodworker. I recommend getting a hang of through dovetails first or at the very least having some familiarity with the dovetail joint. Using a modern minded design process we'll use the time in the shop this weekend to conceptualize and create our very own wall hung shelf. The complexity of the piece will come down to the skill of individual class members, but you'll be led through basic joinery principles, wall hanging practices, and some finishing techniques to boot.
