We’ll use the Festool Domino for joinery and a tapering jig on the table saw to shape the legs. In this two part Intro to Epoxy Resin class students will learn every step of the process, including fitting a live edge slab into a mold, mixing epoxy (with colors), pouring the epoxy, removing the mold, shaping and finishing. Students will take home their very own live edge and epoxy resin piece which can be used as a serving board or small table top or wall art.

Students will learn the basics of fitting knife scales to the knife blank (epoxying, shaping, finishing) and assembling a cutting board from a pre-cut kit (glue-up, smoothing, finishing). In this class, led by experienced luthier, Gary Flowers (garyflowersguitars.com; garyflowersguitars on Instagram), students will make their very own high end custom shop level electric guitar. Starting with a wooden body blank, ready-made neck, and custom components, students will shape the body, assemble the components, apply a finish, and set up their guitar. The cost of the class includes a swamp ash blank shaped into a t-style guitar with an Allparts neck, Fralin pickups, and an oil finish. Upgrades available include s-style body, pickups, and spray lacquer finish. The instructor will contact students to discuss any desired upgrades and associated costs.
