Using the Grain, Thickness, and Shape of the Wood to Convey Emotion
How cool does that sound? In this video, Eric introduces us to intarsia, a beautiful form of woodworking. It balances craftsmanship and art in creating an image using different types of wood. Using the grain and thickness/shape of the wood to convey motion.
Eric introduces us to Justin Christensen, better known online as Scroll Saw Scribbler who is a master at the Intarsia technique. They review Justin's development of a recent scroll saw project using intarsia, making a very cool skull and rose design plaque. The finished project is shown at right.
