Klevas said so far customers have all been impressed with the store. “We are located in an industrial park, which means we have a big store — over 10,000 square feet of space that holds most of the woodworking tools and supplies in the Woodcraft catalog. We have a huge classroom, over 1,200 square feet for classes and demos, and the response to classes has been excellent.”
Prize giveaways, special sales, free food – cake, hot dogs, popcorn and soda – and the Top Spinning Preview will continue all three days. Potential entrants in the store’s Top Spinning Contest on December 7 can find out about the competition and spend some time practicing their spinning skills.
Tommy MacDonald, host of the Boston-based public television showRough Cut –Woodworking with Tommy Mac, will join the celebration Saturday, the same day the show’s fourth season first episode airs.
“I am excited and proud that Woodcraft supports woodworkers with a supersized store, especially right down the street from the Rough Cut studio!! The friendly, competent staff is qualified to answer almost any question, and the class schedule is packed with a wide range of woodworking technique classes that are held in a really great classroom. Hope to see lots of folks Saturday.”
Also on Saturday, Apollo, Freud, SawStop and Festool vendor reps will do demonstrations of their products, Japan Woodworker and Tanos will introduce new tool lines, and other vendor reps from Fein, JET, Rikon, Titebond Glues, Jorgensen Clamps, and DMT Sharpening will be on hand.
