Today’s Homeowner and Woodcraft teamed up to make one person’s Christmas a whole lot brighter this year with their “Tools Under My Tree Giveaway.” Sonya Bell of Vacaville, California, was randomly selected from more than 8,000 eligible entries to receive a $1,000 gift card from the nation’s oldest and largest supplier of woodworking tools, supplies and plans, Woodcraft.
Entries were accepted online at todayshomeowner.com from November 18 through December 15, 2019. In order to enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win, entrants were asked what tool they hoped to see under their tree and what they would do with it. Sonya replied that she would like “a powerful DeWalt drill” and a saw to cut and install “the ceramic flooring that’s been in my garage for a few years.”
However, an extremely skeptical Sonya initially thought her email had been hacked when notified of her win. But now that she’s convinced, she has been working on her wish list. “I actually got a power drill for Christmas,” she said, so she’s making a new list and checking it twice.
Sonya considers herself more of a do-it-herselfer than a woodworker, but she is looking forward to visiting her nearest Woodcraft store in Sacramento to take some classes in the near future. “It’s a new year and I’m ready for a new endeavor!” she said.
She watches Today’s Homeowner for home improvement tips and tricks also. Now in its 22nd season, Today’s Homeowner recently aired its 500th episode sharing timely and practical advice to homeowners nationwide. “I love the father and daughter team,” she said of the syndicated television show’s hosts Danny Lipford and Chelsea Lipford Wolf. “Wish they were in California to come and help me out!”
Trusted partners for more than 10 years, Danny said Woodcraft is “way more than just a serious woodworker type of store. If you haven’t checked out woodcraft.com or been to one of their nearly 80 stores across the country, they carry all kinds of things: power tools, hand tools, woodworking supplies and so much more to completely fill up your workshop.”
